The selection committee for Operation Campus met on May 28th to discuss the 46 applications received by the Ministry of Higher Education and Research. The committee selected six projects: Bordeaux, Grenoble, Lyon, Montpellier, Strasbourg et Toulouse.
In a press conference held at the ministry, Valérie Pécresse discussed the reasons behind the choices and the next steps to be made. She agreed with the committee’s choices because the projects selected fully meet the criteria : scientific ambition and pedagogy, necessity of the building situation, development of a campus life and a structural character for a territory. The projects selected will involve 19 universities, 17 schools, and all the main research organizations. They are in 5 regions and concern 340,000 students and 13,000 published researchers.
