The government held its third council on « General revisions to public policy » (state modernization) on June 11. One topic broached was reform in higher education and research.
The focal points for reform are:
– concerns about evaluation and financing based on performance
– implementation of management accounting
– reinforcement for research financing based on projects
– accompaniment of universities in the context of the LRU law
– changes to the high council on science and technology
– reform of research organizations (CNRS and INSERM)
– revision of relationships between universities and research institutions
