After the successful first webinar which focused on the use of digital technologies for the renovation of the Champs-Elysées in Paris, the Office for Science and Technology (OST) of the Embassy of France in the US was excited to host this second webinar where researchers from France and the United States presented their work on the important issue of water management in cities.
To introduce the event, the OST welcomed Vice-President for International at Université Gustave Eiffel, Dr. Agnès Jullien. Dr. Jullien is also the Executive Committee Chairwoman of the Forum of European National Highway Research Laboratories (FEHRL).
In her introductory remarks, Dr. Jullien was keen to emphasize the importance of research on cities of tomorrow, which is the main focus of Université Gustave Eiffel, but also to recall the links between the university and the United States. Every year, many researchers from Université Gustave Eiffel are travelling to Washington, DC for the annual meetings of the Transportation Research Board organized by the National Academy of Sciences in January.
