To make Europe’s space access policy more competitive, https://fscience-old.originis.fr/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/GLOC_Oslo_Norway_S2_27juillet2022_web-2-1.jpg and ESA are working together to create a new European space transport hub. In August, the two agencies formally confirmed the desire to continue co-locating their launcher teams while giving public or private entities in the European space transport sector the opportunity to come on board. This hub would thus become a flagship centre for space and launchers, serving to raise the sector’s profile and attraction.
Bringing together the sector’s key players in this way would encourage efficiencies and innovation through sharing of skills and resources to ensure the successful operation of the Ariane and Vega launchers, while actively laying the groundwork for future generations of launch systems.
This hub initiative is of strategic value to all concerned. ESA and https://fscience-old.originis.fr/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/GLOC_Oslo_Norway_S2_27juillet2022_web-2-1.jpg are issuing a call for expressions of interest from 16 November to 31 December 2021 to identify potential stakeholders and determine the project’s scope. The project will be focused on Paris and its near outskirts, with final approval set for end 2022.
