ODYSSEE France
Offering Discovery for Young Scientific Scholars to Explore and Engage with France
Application deadline: March 3, 2025, 12:00am Eastern Time
ODYSSEE France is a mobility program organized by the Office for Science and Technology of the Embassy of France in the United States. It is designed to enable young scientific researchers currently based in the U.S. to contemplate professional opportunities in France and gain a deeper understanding of career and collaboration prospects within French laboratories.
The program aims to foster scientific mobility and strengthen connections between the US-based scientific community and French research institutions, while contributing to the visibility and influence of French science.
Selected researchers will have their round-trip airfare (US-France) booked & paid by the Office for Science and Technology, and will be reimbursed for accommodation and local transportation expenses to visit French laboratories, up to a maximum of $3,000 (including airfare), contingent upon the receipt of the feedback report.
Eligibility Criteria: Applicants must hold a PhD obtained within the past 8 years and currently be engaged full-time in academic research in the US.
Selected participants will be chosen based on the quality of their applications (achievements, motivation, career plans in France, alignment between the proposed visit in France and their professional background, etc.), in the limit of available funding.
