The Life Sciences track of the AIRE Master (former AIV Master) welcomes students from a wide range of backgrounds (Biology, Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Medicine, Engineering…). A more detailed description of the Master is available on the AIRE web page (https://master.cri-paris.org/en

The 1st year of the AIRE-Life Sciences Master focuses on the fundamentals of Quantitative and Integrative Biology through intensive 1st semester courses and a long 2nd semester internship in a laboratory chosen by the student or by participating in the international Genetically Engineered Machine (iGEM) Paris Bettencourt competition.

The 2nd year of the Master program offers a unique approach, combining weekly collaborative course sessions with two internships throughout the year.

Just like all university training programs, the AIRE Master had to rethink its processes and functioning, in order to ensure the educational continuity for its students, despite the challenges brought up by the current sanitary situation. Thanks to our team of committed teachers, we have managed to organise all of our courses remotely and have also strengthened individual mentoring. The Université de Paris has accepted that internships be pursued remotely, thus making it possible for our students to continue both their professional immersion and the construction of their own personalized course portfolio. Therefore, the committed, interdisciplinary and creative spirit of the Master is still alive, despite the current sanitary situation.

Students may apply to either the 1st year or directly to the 2nd year program, depending on their previous experience. The application form is available on the webpage at: https://master.cri-paris.org/en/admission
